About Gramona Savinat Sauvignon Blanc

Gramona Savinat Sauvignon Blanc is a white wine from the Penedès made by Gramona, a winery that was founded in 1881 and, therefore, has dedicated more than 130 years to winemaking. Currently under the command of the fifth generation, the winery still maintains the family tradition and philosophy from years ago.

The climate in this area is Mediterranean, characterized by being soft and warm. The average annual temperature is 15 ° C and rainfall is recorded throughout the year.

This wine is a varietal Sauvignon Blanc (100%) from the "Can Aguilera" farm whose vineyards are located on the slopes of Montserrat, at an altitude of 500 metres.

After a manual harvest, the best clusters of the vine are thoroughly selected, obtaining excellent quality. In the winery, a second selection of the grapes occurs on the sorting table.

As for the process, for the vinification of this wine only must flower is used. Later, after the static racking, the wine passes through Allier barrels to ferment at a temperature of 16 ° C.

The wine spends 4 or 5 months in barrel before the blend is made. Finally, Gramona  Savinat Sauvignon  Blanc ends its development in bottle.

2017 Gramona Savinat Sauvignon Blanc 2017 is a creamy wine, with structure and freshness. A vintage with an intense nose, tropical and citrus fruit and aromatic herbs. On the palate it is oily and mineral, with a salty lingering and fresh touch.

The nose is floral and fruity with notes of citrus, wood and minerals.
2011 Very elegant, fresh and creamy white wine with expressive notes of fruit well integrated with its wooden aromas. It shows a silky, fresh and balanced mid palate and a marked but excellent acidity. Long and persistent finish with a nice citrus aftertaste.

Bright straw yellow colour with waxen edges. Clean wine with thin glyceric tears.
