Vall Llach Priorat is a red wine that exudes aromas of dried herbs, strawberries, blackberries, and candied fruits, with a spicy hint reminiscent of pepper. About Vall Llach Priorat

If there is something that makes the D.O.Q. Priorat stand out, it is the uniqueness of its "llicorella" terroirs. These slate soils, rich in minerals, allow for the production of some of the finest wines in the world. These musts have a unique character, where Celler Vall-Llach, a winery established in the 90s by the renowned singer-songwriter Lluís Llach in the town of Porrera, is committed to the controlled microproduction of small "trossos" (estates in Catalan) to create wines that are truly exceptional.

Vall Llach Priorat is an elegant and modern red wine that astonishes with its mineral notes imparted by the old cariñenas of the Priorat. It is balanced and structured with the incorporation of garnacha in the blend. Thirty-five percent of the wine undergoes 16 months of ageing (with only one racking) in new French oak barrels, while the remaining 65% is aged in second-use barrels.

The result is Vall Llach Priorat, a wine that is a true ode to the Catalan land. A red wine born from the relationship between man and a challenging yet exquisite environment.

 

2022

Vall Llach Priorat is a red wine that exudes aromas of dried herbs, strawberries, blackberries, and candied fruits, with a spicy hint reminiscent of pepper. 2019

Idus de Vall-Llach 2019 is a sumptuously rich red wine. The bouquet reveals a symphony of fruit and floral notes, intermingled with spices, earthy undertones, and dried herbs. On the palate, it is flavorful and expansive, with a lingering finish. It envelops the taste buds while maintaining a well-balanced acidity and warm sensations. The finale is notably dry.
2018

Idus de Vall-Llach 2018 is a richly concentrated red wine boasting intense aromas of ripe red and black fruits, accompanied by floral and woodland vegetation notes, and hints of damp earth with subtle strokes of spice. On the palate, it is sweetly indulgent, embracing and full-bodied. A flavorsome wine with a well-defined acidity and velvety tannins. The finish is extended, dry, and exceedingly pleasant. We recommend decanting it at least one hour prior to savoring.
2016 Idus de Vall-Llach 2016 is a powerful, structured and mineral wine. A good vintage where the aromas of ripe black fruit stand out, with toasted notes over a very distinguished mineral base note. On the palate it is expressive, intense and with a very lingering finish.
2009 It shows a powerful attack and a large mid-palate which fills the palate with fruity and spiced sensations. Great acidity, well present tannins. Long and persistent finish. Very mineral and fruity wine at retro-olfaction.

Intense cherry red colour with maroon edge and violet tones. High robe, very covered. Clean and bright. It shows an abundant and dense tear.

It is recommended decanting this wine a long time before enjoying it in order to let it show all its aromatic nuances to the maximum. Complex and concentrated nose, aromas of red fruit that slowly becomes black, fleshy and juicy, together with floral nuances, pleasant toasted and smoked hints, aromatic herbs and mineral notes.

2007 Wide attack, with a velvety mid palate full of ripe fruit and spices. Balsamic finishing touches. Fleshy, powerful and fresh wine. Ripe tannins. Long finish.
