About L'Enclòs de Peralba Els Escorpins

When we talk about zodiac signs, Scorpio is always described as having unique emotional power and energy. The same capacity for expression as L'Enclòs de Peralba Els Escorpins, a red wine made with the Garnacha Tinta variety that shows all the typicity of the terroir. And although its creators, Leo and Roc Gramona, explain that the name of the wine is inspired by the large number of scorpions in the vineyard, the truth is that its character and personality perfectly match the characteristics of this powerful zodiac sign.

Produced in an old farmhouse bought by the Gramona family, L'Enclòs de Peralba Els Escorpins (‘the scorpions’ in Catalan) is the result of organic agriculture with biodynamic treatments and taking into account the phases of the moon. In the winery, a minimal intervention winemaking process is used, where the must ferments with native yeasts and is aged for 9 to 15 months in oak barrels. Finally, the wine is bottled without clarifying or filtering.

With this project, Leo and Roc Gramona, cousins and partners, have seen their dream of creating their own wines in their own likeness come true. This dream of theirs has resulted in wines like L'Enclòs de Peralba Els Escorpins, a wine that seems destined to excite your body and soul.

 

2022

L’Enclòs de Peralba Els Escorpins 2022 is a vibrant and fresh red wine distinguished by its natural elegance. Its paler hue compared to the previous vintage hints at a fresh and fragrant nose, with captivating notes of fennel and anise. On the palate, it offers a medium body with smooth tannins and a refreshing acidity that enhances its liveliness. It is an incredibly approachable and silky red wine, ideal for immediate enjoyment, with a lightness that entices continued sipping.
2021

L'Enclòs de Peralba Els Escorpins 2021 is a fruity and slightly youthful red wine. On the nose, subtle notes of strawberries and cherries can be detected. On the palate, it is elegant and delicate, with a velvety texture that makes it highly enjoyable. Its vivacity and fluid profile lend it remarkable freshness, making it a light and easy-to-enjoy wine.

L'Enclòs de Peralba Els Escorpins 2018 is a concentrated red wine with aromas of ripe red and black fruit, notes of violet flowers and hints of toasted wood. On the palate it is juicy, fresh and enveloping. A complex wine with integrated acidity and marked tannins. The finish is lingering and persistent.
