In Santa Margarida de Montbui, in the area that L’Enclòs de Peralba fondly refers to as the Great Penedès (Barcelona), lies an ancient plot of the indigenous red variety sumoll. This serves as the backdrop for a fascinating experiment: two wineries, one vineyard, two perspectives. Thus emerges this version of La Peça Coll del Guix, crafted by L’Enclòs de Peralba, which stands as both a statement of intent and a tribute to friendship and shared terroir; a testament to the tradition of cooperation among wineries, as seen in the great wine regions worldwide.
 
L’Enclòs de Peralba is the venture of Leo and Roc Gramona, the sixth generation of an iconic family from the Penedès. With inherited knowledge and the curiosity of their era, they have embarked on a personal journey to uncover the purest roots of the land. To achieve this, they collaborate with local viticulturists, revive old vineyards, and practice respectful viticulture, staying true to the environment and native varieties.
 
L’Enclòs de Peralba La Peça Coll del Guix undergoes fermentation with whole clusters, lightly trodden, and matures in used 500-litre oak barrels. It is then bottled and rests for another six months before being released. A red wine of austere, mineral, and profoundly elegant character, with fewer than a thousand bottles produced. There are no embellishments: just the truth of the soil and the nobility of the sumoll grape expressing itself without interference.
