Young, indeed. Yet exceptionally well-prepared. Such is Martí Torrallardona, a native of Penedès who, before reaching thirty, had already worked with some of the most inspiring wine producers both within and beyond Penedès: At Roca, Zuccardi, Vall Llach, Can Sumoi, Hirsch… With such an impressive background, the next step was almost inevitable: to put his name—and his sensitivity—on a bottle.
In 2021, La Fita was born, his personal venture. It is a declaration of love for the land where he grew up, and a clear commitment: to craft wines that speak of landscape, origin, and agricultural heritage. An almost reverential respect for vineyards that are part of the family, both literally and metaphorically.
Thus arrives La Fita Els Arpiots, a wine born in Cal Nogués and Can Patomàs, two estates where xarel·lo, xarel·lo vermell, and macabeo are planted on clay-limestone soils that provide concentration, tension, and vibrant acidity.
The viticulture is organic and regenerative, the harvest is done by hand, in small boxes, ensuring each bunch arrives whole and healthy at the winery. The grapes undergo 6 days of maceration, ferment with indigenous yeasts, and rest for 4 months in stainless steel, without embellishments or artifice.
The result? Freshness, subtle rusticity, delicate fruit, and a luminous Mediterranean vibrancy. La Fita Els Arpiots is an honest wine, closely tied to its landscape and the people who have worked it. A small milestone planted in the earth—and in memory—to remind us that origin matters.
