To the north of Salento, near Matera (Puglia, Italy), lies L’Archetipo, a name that invites contemplation on the fundamental: the archetype, the natural state of each thing. This family-run winery embodies that concept with its synergistic agriculture, where the land, the vine, and the climate interact in perfect harmony. Every decision aims to return to that original balance, allowing life in the vineyard to thrive autonomously and consciously.
Since the 1980s, the Dibenedetto family has transformed their lands step by step: first to organic farming, then biodynamic, and finally to a synergistic practice, inspired by the studies of Rudolf Steiner and Masanobu Fukuoka. With the involvement of Francesco Valentino, his wife Anna Maria, and their children, the winery has become a model of respect for the ecosystem and tradition, preserving the biodiversity and vitality of each plot.
L’Archetipo Rosato Di Primitivo Salento is a rosé wine made from the Primitivo red variety grown on Mediterranean red soils rich in gravel and humus (organic material abundant in microorganisms, plant and animal remains). The grapes are harvested by hand and, after destemming, the skins remain in contact with the must for 12 hours. Fermentation begins spontaneously thanks to a pied de cuve made with indigenous yeasts. Finally, this rosé matures for six months on its own lees, without filtration and with minimal oenological intervention. The result is a vibrant and expressive wine, a true reflection of the terroir and the winery’s philosophy.
Each sip of L’Archetipo Rosato Di Primitivo awakens the soul of Salento: fresh and fruity notes that invite enjoyment during light moments, such as an aperitif at sunset, with seafood, Mediterranean salads, or simple cuisine that celebrates life. This wine is so versatile it can even be savoured alongside winter dishes. A rosé that is more than a drink; it is the pure expression of an archetype, a sensory journey towards the harmony between nature, vineyard, and humanity.
