About Les Sorts Jove

Les Sorts Jove is a red wine from the D.O. Montsant produced by Celler el Masroig. This blend wine consists of a combination of red grape varieties.

The grapes are cultivated on the estate's predominantly red clay soils. Harvesting is conducted manually and in small crates to ensure the clusters arrive intact at the winery. These are placed in carbon dioxide tanks.

Fermentation, which follows the carbonic maceration process to enhance the wine's aromatic intensity and colour, begins with the must from the grapes at the bottom as they are crushed by those above. Les Sorts Jove is then transferred to stainless steel tanks where alcoholic fermentation commences.

Finally, before bottling, it undergoes a light filtration process.

To fully enjoy this wine, it is advisable to give it a moderate chill before serving.

Celler Masroig was established in 1917 and is one of the most significant in the Priorat region. It is, in fact, the largest winery in the D.O. Montsant, boasting 500 hectares of its own vineyards.

Les Sorts Jove 2020 Outlet is a fruit-forward red wine. The bouquet reveals strawberries and raspberries layered over a creamy backdrop. On the palate, it is well-rounded and velvety. Exceedingly delightful.
2014 Sweet and powerful. Balanced, with good acidity. Carbonic maceration gives it freshness.

Cherry red with violet notes. Neat and sparkling, dense tear.

Highly expressive. Strong aromas of red fruit with dairy and spicy notes. There are also floral flavours.

2012 In the mouth this wine shows fresh attack and is smooth and light on the palate with very tasty, expressive red fruit and creamy touches. A lively acidity. Good finish, not too persistent. A very fresh red wine, easy to drink.

2011 This young Spanish wine produced by Celler Masroig is very fresh and very nice. Its soft, light notes of very tasty and expressive red fruit are nuanced by a good creaminess. Lively acidity and good but not very persistent finish.  A round wine, that surprises by its freshness and its fruity aromas. Perfect to be enjoyed in relaxed moments.

Intense and attractive cherry colour with purple edges. Bright and clean wine with a high layer and thin tears that stain the glass.

Its intense notes of juicy and mellow red fruit are wrapped in great creamy aromas with lots of milky hints. Subtle floral background of violets.
