About Menade Sauvignon Blanc

Menade Sauvignon Blanc is an organic white wine made from Sauvignon Blanc by Bodegas Menade in the DO. Rueda.

Bodegas Menade was established in 2005, but the family at its helm has been devoted to winemaking for six generations, specifically since 1820.

The vineyards of Menade Sauvignon Blanc are organically cultivated. Furthermore, cluster thinning is conducted to reduce yield and enhance quality. Harvesting is performed manually during the day and mechanically at night.

The grapes for Menade Sauvignon Blanc are fermented at a controlled temperature of approximately 18 to 22°C in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts, those naturally present on the grapes. After fermentation, the wine remains on the fine lees for a period to gain some volume, and is finally clarified, stabilized, and filtered to remove impurities and prevent future sedimentation.

Menade Sauvignon Blanc is a wine from a foreign variety well adapted to the climate and soils of Rueda.

Upon approaching the nose, it unfolds a great aromatic intensity, highlighting fresh notes of apricot and tropical hints of mango and passion fruit, complemented by delicate essences of white flowers and a subtle citrus aroma of lime zest. On the palate, this white wine offers a fresh entry and a pleasant acidity that invites continued enjoyment. Its light profile is enriched with flavours of fruits and flowers, closing with a herbaceous aftertaste that renders it elegant and refined.

Menade Sauvignon Blanc 2021 is an aromatic white wine featuring nuances of tropical fruit and ripe stone fruit. On the palate, it is refreshing, approachable, and exhibits a mineral quality. This fruity wine boasts a lively acidity and concludes with hints of herbaceous undertones.
2019 Menade Sauvignon Blanc 2019 has aromas of tropical and citrus fruits, and of stone fruit. Mineral, mint, mandarin and fresh basil touches. On the palate it is fruity and tropical, with herbal touches.
