About Sobrenatural de Menade

Sobrenatural de Menade is a white wine made from the Verdejo variety by the Menade winery in the V.T. Castilla y León in Spain.

The clusters used to make the Sobrenatural de Menade wine are selected and harvested manually. When they reach the winery, the grapes ferment with their native yeasts. The resulting wine undergoes spontaneous malolactic fermentation and is aged for 30 months in used vats and oak barrels. The wine is bottled without adding sulphur and is refined in the winery for six more months, before it is released for sale.

Bodega Menade was founded in 2005 but has a centuries-old winemaking history, which is clear to see in each of the wines they make. These wines are a faithful reflection of the environment they come from, thanks to a minimal intervention process that enhances the expression of the terroir and each of the varieties.

Sobrenatural de Menade is a wine of patience, a tribute to nature that forms over time and provides a home for the Verdejo variety to grow, without anything to mask its natural state, allowing it to expresses its maturity and wisdom with a supernatural authenticity.

2018
Sobrenatural de Menade 2018 is an exceptionally special white wine, boasting a highly intriguing and complex profile. On the nose, it reveals aromas of baked ripe apples and dried fruits, complemented by mineral nuances and delicate hints of honey and pastry. On the palate, it exhibits a broad and silky texture, with a surprising and refreshing acidity. A white wine with a subtle saline touch, whose elegance and complexity are utterly captivating.
 
2015 Sobrenatural de Menade 2015 is a white wine with aromas of honey, roasted apples and pastry cream on the nose, accompanied by mineral nuances and hints of saltpetre. On the palate it is creamy and delicate, with a perfect balance between acidity, sweetness and salinity. A white wine with a long and elegant aftertaste.
