About Monopole Clásico

Monopole Clásico is a white wine crafted by CVNE (Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España), in Haro, DOCa La Rioja.

CVNE (Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España) is a historic winery located in the Barrio de la Estación, in Haro, established in 1879. The business is now managed by the fifth generation of the family, and it has been publicly traded since 1997.

Currently, it oversees approximately 545 hectares situated in the sub-regions of Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa. The vineyards providing the grapes for this winery's wines are distinguished by their clay-limestone, clay-ferrous, and alluvial soils, with a predominantly Atlantic climate.

Monopole Clásico is a wine predominantly made from Viura grapes, hand-harvested in 20 kg boxes. After a gentle pressing, the must is transferred to a concrete tank for settling. Alcoholic fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks, and the wine is aged on fine lees in Jerez casks for several months.

Monopole Clásico is a complex, elegant, and fresh wine. It boasts a spectacular bouquet with aromas of ripe white fruit, dried fruits, and a hint of spice. The small percentage of Manzanilla from Sanlúcar de Barrameda imparts a surprisingly exquisite saline finish.
