About Paltrinieri Lambrusco di Sorbara Secco Leclisse

Paltrinieri Lambrusco di Sorbara Secco Leclisse is a sparkling rosé made by the Paltrinieri winery with the Lambrusco di Sorbara variety in the DOC Lambrusco di Sorbara in the Emilia-Romagna region (Italy). 
 
The Paltrinieri family have been making their wines with the Lambrusco di Sorbara variety since the beginning of the 20th century. Three generations of the family have cultivated this grape on the estate in a 15-hectare Gran Cru that showcases the most celebrated interpretations of Lambrusco year after year. 
 
Paltrinieri Lambrusco di Sorbara Secco Leclisse comes from vines growing in the Sorbara terroir, in the province of Modena. These vines are planted in very loose, clayey soils with a medium texture. They are cultivated using traditional viticulture where the priority is to maintain the strength of the plant to enhance the vine’s typical acidity. 
 
After harvesting, the Paltrinieri Lambrusco di Sorbara Secco Leclisse grapes are gently pressed and the resulting must ferments at a controlled temperature. This is followed by a second fermentation using the charmant method for a long period of 3 months in pressurised stainless steel tanks.
 
Named Leclisse (the eclipse), Paltrinieri Lambrusco di Sorbara Secco Leclisse is a combination of the complexity and structure of a red wine with the elegance and sparkle of a sparkling wine.
