Pinna Fidelis Gran Reserva is a Gran Reserva red wine made by Pinna Fidelis with the Tinta del País variety in the D.O. Ribera del Duero (Castilla y León).
Pinna Fidelis is a winery with 200 hectares of its own vineyards located in the town of Peñafiel, one of the best parts of the D.O. Ribera del Duero. Founded in 2001 with the aim of producing native and innovative wines, today this winery produces a wide range of young, aged and reserva wines that are very well suited to today’s tastes.
Pinna Fidelis Gran Reserva is only made in the years that the grape achieves optimum winemaking qualities. It is made from 50-year-old vines planted in poor limestone soils and grown using traditional methods. The yield is limited to make the grapes more concentrated and the harvest is carried out manually.
When the Pinna Fidelis Gran Reserva grapes reach the winery, they macerate and ferment for 40 days. Then the wine is moved to new French oak barrels and it ages there for 24 months with frequent filling and racking in spring and autumn. Finally the wine is clarified and bottled.
Pinna Fidelis Gran Reserva is an unmistakable Ribera del Duero wine that is perfect for those who love a good classic from an area that is well known for its Tinta del País reds.
