About Quinta Quietud

Quinta Quietud is a red wine from the D.O Toro produced by the wiery Quinta Quietud. This winery, founded in 1999, is located in Toro, the epicentre of the appellation of origin.

Quinta Quietud is 100% produced from the varietal Tinta de Toro (Tempranillo). The grapes that orignate from 20 to 80 year old vines, planted at an altitude of 700 meters in Deep Sandy-clay soils.

All the vineyards are cultivated organically, this is why they have been awarded the certificate by CAECYL (Consejo de Agricultura Ecológica de Castilla y León) since 2002.

For production, there is a spontaneous fermentation process and a long maceration period of 15-18 days.

The wine is subsequently aged for 20 months in French oak barrels.

Quinta Quietud this is a wine to store, apt for a long period spent in the bottle. Quinta Quietud is the star wine for the winery, as such, it carries its name.

2018

Quinta Quietud 2018 unfurls with potent aromas reminiscent of a compote of dark fruits such as blackberries and plums, interwoven with a distinctive hint of liquorice and an undertone of bitter cocoa. On the palate, it is opulent and refined, distinguished by its robust persona and extended finish. Mineral notes, suggestive of graphite, lend an intriguing complexity to this vigorous and subtly spiced red wine, which exhibits an alluring maturity.
2010 Full-bodied and fleshy. Intense and unctuous with ripened red fruit. Smooth tannins that are well integrated. Elegant and structured.

2007 Just like previous vintages, this wine is extraordinary in the mouth. A high concentration of fleshy, juicy, tasty red and black fruit complimented by touches of liquorice along with a refreshing acidity. Powerful and broad, this wine has a velvety palate and a long, very persistent finish.

Very dark picota cherry colour with a purple rim. Intense and bright, with nice tears showing on the glass.

High intensity, clean, elegant and complex. Fruity aromas, ripe black fruit mix with toasted notes and nuances of leather and spices along with some mineral touches.
2006 Powerful, very lively and wide wine, with a long, very expressive and very tasty mid palate full of notes of ripe fruit wrapped in creamy and toasted notes. A silky wine, with a good acidity and well integrated tannins. It has a long finish. A great wine from Toro.

Intense cherry colour with violet reflections. Bright and clean wine with dense tears.

Very tasty, powerful and very complex aromas. A great load of very ripe black fruit are released along with creamy and expressive toasted notes on an intense spicy background. Subtle hints of black chocolate and marked animal leather notes are also noticed.
2005 Exceptional finish. Great concentration of red fruit with hints of licorice appears along with an acidity that gives freshness. Powerful, broad and velvety.

Cherry color with purple. Intense and bright, with good tear.

Very good intensity. Elegant and complex wine. Full of fruit mixed with notes of leather and spices, roasted and small mineral touches.
2004 Good, powerful and broad attack and a warm, silky, very tasty and meaty mid palate. Elegant notes of fruit well assembled with the spicy notes, the touches of balsamic, refined toasted and pleasant coffee notes. Polished and slightly sweet tannins. Good finish with a long persistence. An elegant, intense and complex wine.

Very intense cherry colour, with maroon edges. Good robe. Elegant, dense and slow tears.

Powerful and complex aromas of very ripe black fruit blended with creamy notes of wood. A wide range of spices emerge slowly (tobacco, vanilla, licorice) along with good toasted and smoked notes on a good mineral background, that reminds of the wine's land. A subtle touch of sharp pepper appears over the time.
