Behind this bottle lies a family saga steeped in vineyard tradition for generations. The Renner & Rennersistas winery, currently helmed by Stefanie and Georg, blends their parents' expertise with a youthful and daring vision. After a period of personal exploration, the siblings returned to Gols with a fresh perspective, more liberated and deeply committed to the land. Today, they employ biodynamic practices certified by Demeter, surrounded by chickens, sheep, and a profound respect for the rhythm of nature. Here, it's not about following trends but honouring the soil and allowing the grapes to tell their story unadorned.
 
A tale suggests that the name of this wine is a sort of homage to two greats of biodynamic viticulture: Tom Lubbe and Tom Shobbrock, though we cannot confirm this; what we can assure you is that Rennersistas Waiting for Tom does not shy away from displaying its character: crafted from biodynamically cultivated grapes, it ferments with native yeasts after a manual harvest that cherishes each bunch. A small percentage is whole-bunch pressed, while the rest is destemmed for a maceration of 9 to 12 days, then spends 8 months in used French and Austrian oak, and is bottled unfiltered and unfined, with only a minimal dose of added SO₂. The result is a fluid and expressive red, with medium body, straddling the line between fruity, earthy, and delightfully vibrant.
