Sin Palabras Edición Especial 2018 is a creamy, fresh wine with volume. It has aromas of very ripe white fruit, honey-like, and notes of sweet spices. The long amount of time it remains with its lees, gives it depth and body, making it very balanced thanks to the freshness of the area.

About Sin Palabras Edición Especial

Sin Palabras Edición Especial is a white wine produced by Adegas Castrobrey in Vila de Cruces (Pontevedra), D.O. Rías Baixas.

 

Adegas Castrobrey is a family-run winery that was founded in 1983. Nowadays, it is the third generation that is in charge of the business.

The winery is located at approximately 20 kilometres from Santiago de Compostela, on the banks of the river Ulloa. They work with around 7 hectares of vineyards that are aged between 10 and 60 years. They are located at 100 metres of altitude, planted on soils with granite and quartz, iron and clay. The entire vineyard faces the south-east, with an average land inclination of 20% and influenced by the soft Atlantic climate.

The philosophy of Adegas Castrobrey is to make wines with utmost respect for the grape. This is why they make the work in the vineyard a priority and they ensure minimum intervention in the winery and in all the processes.

 

Sin Palabras Edición Especial is a wine made from Albariño from their oldest vineyards (over 50 years old) that are planted on clayey-loam soils with granitic rock, rich in iron and quartz.

Harvesting is carried out manually, selecting the grapes in the vineyard. Once they arrive at the winery, the grapes are destemmed and they go through a cold maceration for 8 hours at 8ºC. After they are slightly pressed, they ferment in stainless steel deposits at a controlled temperature. This wine is aged for 5 months in stainless steel deposits with its fine lees.
