The Tissots are like a haute couture fashion designer of the wine world: they create unique, extraordinary and unrivalled products. “No two wines in the whole world are the same, unlike industrial wines that are all the same. The industrialisation of wine is the end of all these different identities, these nuances and characteristics that make up the magic in a bottle”, they say.
Now the next generation, Stéphane Tissot continues this spirit and at his domaine in the AOC Arbois, in Jura (east of Burgundy), they cultivate their 35 hectares using biodynamic methods, and grow some of the area’s most typical varieties like Pousard, Trousseau and Pinot Noir.
The result?: Tissot Arbois DD is an exclusive red in every bottle, made to showcase the unique expression of the terroir made up of Jurassic limestones and very deep marls and clays. This wine has great aromatic power and no sulphites are used during bottling. It ages for 1 year in French oak barrels.
At the Domaine André et Mireillere Tissot, more than 20 cuvées are made to find the wine’s true essence and aroma. Just as there are no two Chanel jackets the same, there are no two identical wines from the Domaine André et Mireillere Tissot. Tissot Arbois DD is one of these. A true Jura gem.
