About Celler Kripta Barrica Gran Reserva

Celler Kripta Barrica Gran Reserva is a brut nature sparkling wine crafted by the winery Celler Kripta-Agustí Torelló Mata under the Corpinnat label. This family-owned winery is situated in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia (Barcelona), a town renowned for housing some of Spain's finest sparkling wine producers.

Celler Kripta Barrica Gran Reserva is composed entirely of the macabeo grape variety. During its production, the macabeo grapes are divided into three segments. The first segment (40%) undergoes vinification in French oak barrels, where it also ages for 8 months. Another significant portion of the macabeo grapes ferments in stainless steel tanks for 31 days at a temperature of 16°C. The remaining portion is the result of an early harvest used to perfectly balance the blend. Upon completion of this vinification process and after the corresponding blend, the wine is bottled and aged for approximately 60 months in underground cellars, where it undergoes a secondary fermentation to become cava.

Celler Kripta Barrica Gran Reserva is a Corpinnat brut nature, the type of sparkling wine with the least added sugars.

2018

Celler Kripta Barrica Gran Reserva 2018 envelops us with its subtle sweetness and a slightly creamy texture that caresses the palate. On the nose, it delights with scents of ripe fruits, with roasted apple being prominent, interwoven with hints of toasted bread and fresh patisserie. On the palate, its maturity is expressed through flavors reminiscent of sun-drenched orchard fruit, with a creamy nuance that renders it distinctive and refined. This cava beckons one to relish its unassuming complexity.
2010 Robust and fruit-laden, with a velvety and dry palate. Pronounced fruity and spicy notes come to the fore. Excellently balanced acidity. The finish is extensive and enduring.

Straw yellow with attractive greenish glints. Delicate effervescence.

Pleasant aromas of white fruit are harmoniously blended with toasted, balsamic, and spicy undertones. Refreshing and well-structured.
2009 In the mouth, it is a dry and glyceride cava at the same time, with dense and cremy foam. The freshness of the fruit stands over the toasted background and the vanilla hints.

Pale straw yellow colour with greenish reflections. Thin and abundant bubbles, good formation of the tears and dense crown.

Intense nasal aromas with fruity notes of green apple, mixed with fine balsamic, spiced and toasted hints provided during its ageing in barrels.
