Anselmo Mendes Parcela Única is a barrel-aged white wine crafted by Anselmo Mendes using the albariño grape variety in Vinho Verde, within the Minho region of Portugal.
 
Born in Monção, in the Vinho Verde region, Anselmo Mendes is a staunch advocate for indigenous grape varieties and a remarkable innovator in winemaking. His perfect blend of tradition and modernity has enabled him to produce wines that fully express their terroir, establishing him as Portugal's most esteemed winemaker. 
 
Anselmo Mendes Parcela Única is sourced from a single plot, hence its name. These vines are planted in granitic soils and cultivated using traditional methods. Yields are limited, and the harvest is conducted manually in 20 kg boxes. 
 
In the winery, the grapes for Anselmo Mendes Parcela Única are destemmed and gently pressed. The resulting must is cold-settled and then ferments in 400-litre French oak barrels for several months with periodic bâtonnage. 
 
Hailing from a single vineyard that produces a distinctive and original grape, Anselmo Mendes Parcela Única exhibits fruit, acidity, and minerality in perfect harmony thanks to its barrel aging. A gastronomic alvarinho of great balance and minerality.

Anselmo Mendes Parcela Única 2020 is a creamy, smooth and very polished wine. In general, this is a very refined vintage, with a predominant touch of oak (which makes it deeper). Voluminous, full-bodied. Silky tannins. Very tasty!

Anselmo Mendes Parcela Única 2018 is a creamy white wine with citrus aromas, notes of white fruits and a magnificently mineral background. On the palate it is unctuous, fresh and very elegant. A full-bodied wine with a dense, refined and savoury finish.
