About Ollos de Roque

Ollos de Roque is a wine made in the D.O. Ribeiro by Fazenda Agricola Ugalevada in Cenlle, Orense.

Iago Garrido is the person behind this winery located in the heart of Ribeiro. The vineyard is planted on clay soils with native varieties such as Treixadura, Albariño, Godello, Lado etc. and cultivated biodynamically. The wine is aged for 7 months in clay amphoras.

Ollos de Roque is a wine with tales of the underground, an austere and mineral wine with a long life ahead of it.

Ollos de Roque 2022 presents a unique experience with its fresh and youthful character. Upon bringing it to the nose, subtle notes of green apple and a hint of lemon emerge. On the palate, it stands out for its spicy character and a slight suggestion of mushrooms, a result of using amphorae and barrels in its production. The vintage brings an unparalleled vivacity, being the last to use Treixadura, promising a rich complexity.
