About Barahonda Organic Barrica

Barahonda Organic is a red wine from the D.O. Yecla produced by the winery Barahonda. This wine is a blend of Monastrell and Syrah.

The grapes used for Barahonda Organic come from vineyards of varying ages depending on the variety. Thus, the Monastrell comes from 40-year-old vines and the Syrah from 20-year-old vines. The cultivation is carried out entirely organically, a distinctive feature that the wine's name itself seeks to highlight.

The harvested grapes are selected after a meticulous selection process. Once transported to the facilities, each variety is vinified separately. Initially, Barahonda Organic undergoes a phase of alcoholic fermentation.

Finally, before being bottled, Barahonda Organic rests for six months in French oak barrels. The result is a velvety and very pleasant wine.

The winery Barahonda boasts 150 hectares of its own vineyards and another 600 hectares managed by the company's technical team. The Monastrell grape is undoubtedly the main protagonist of their cultivation. It is one of the most representative wineries of the D.O. Yecla.
