About Clarabella 180 Millesimato Dosaggio Zero Franciacorta

In 1978, the Marco Cavallo law fundamentally transformed the treatment and perception of individuals with mental disorders in Italy. It marked a complete reversal in the deinstitutionalisation of patients and the enhancement of their living conditions and rights. It is under this premise that Clarabella, a leading social agricultural cooperative in Franciacorta, Lombardy (Italy), was established, blending tradition with social responsibility in every bottle. Dedicated to this law that reshaped the approach to psychiatry, the project introduces us to Clarabella 180 Millesimato Dosaggio Zero Franciacorta. A high-end sparkling wine crafted from a single harvest, showcasing the characteristics of that specific year.

Made from chardonnay and pinot noir varieties, Clarabella 180 Millesimato Dosaggio Zero Franciacorta originates from vineyards situated between Lake Iseo and Franciacorta at an altitude of between 150 and 250 metres. It is produced organically to minimise the human impact on the environment, preserve biodiversity, and reduce water usage. The harvest is manual, and once in the winery, the grapes are carefully selected, destemmed, and gently pressed. The resulting must is cold settled and ferments with selected yeasts, 50% in stainless steel tanks and the other 50% in barrels. Afterwards, the wine undergoes a secondary fermentation following the méthode champenoise, ageing on lees for 60 months. Finally, disgorgement is carried out, followed by an additional year of bottle refinement before being released to the market.

As a result of the dedication and effort of workers in social inclusion, each bubble and sip of Clarabella 180 Millesimato Dosaggio Zero Franciacorta reflects a commitment to the quality of the DOGC Franciacorta and social responsibility. A delightfully unique 180-degree turn.
