This surge has paved the way for discovering producers and territories that, until a few years ago, lived in the shadow of Bordeaux, whose fame seemed unshakable. Among these discoveries, Domaine de Pallus shines brightly.

Nestled in the heart of the Loire Valley in France, within the esteemed DOP Chinon, Domaine de Pallus boasts 12 hectares regarded as a true "Grand Cru", and since 2005, Bertrand Sourdais, the fifth generation of this family, has worked with passion and precision to unveil the historical essence and magic of cabernet franc in each of his wines.

Domaine de Pallus La Croix Boissée epitomises this philosophy. The plot, located in the village of Cravant-les-Coteaux, spans a mere 0.51 hectares on a steep slope, thriving on clay soil over limestone rock, and is cultivated biodynamically.

The vinification is conducted individually in open 30-hectolitre wooden vats, with 100% destemmed grapes and maceration lasting between 18 and 25 days. The ageing process, 18 months in Burgundy barrels, imparts elegance, structure, and that distinctive personality that makes each sip a direct journey to the heart of Chinon.
