Domaine Jean Grivot Clos Vougeot Grand Cru is a wood-aged red wine made by Domaine Jean Grivot with the Pinot Noir variety in the AOC Clos Vougeot/Côte-d'Or, in Burgundy (France).
Domaine Jean Grivot is one of the great Burgundy wineries. Founded by Jean Grivot and run by her son Étienne, granddaughter Mathilde took over in 2017 and is carrying the legacy by bringing innovative new generation approaches. They produce pure, lively and harmonious wines that perfectly express the extraordinary terroirs that the Grivot family has worked since the 18th century.
Domaine Jean Grivot Clos Vougeot Grand Cru comes from a Grand Cru with vines planted in clay, loam and alluvial soils. These vines are organically cultivated (without certification) and no chemicals are used that could affect the natural balance of the terroir. When the grapes reach optimum ripeness, they are harvested manually.
In the winery, the Domaine Jean Grivot Clos Vougeot Grand Cru grapes ferment spontaneously with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged for a minimum of 18 months in French oak barrels before being bottled.
Made in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, Domaine Jean Grivot Clos Vougeot Grand Cru is a charming and elegant wine that you will fall in love with on the first sip. A delicious wine worthy of its Grand Cru status.
