Domaine Jean Grivot Echezeaux Grand Cru is a wood-aged red wine made by Domaine Jean Grivot with the Pinot Noir variety in the AOC Echézeaux Grand Cru/Côte-d'Or, in Burgundy (France).
The Domaine Jean Grivot winery is located in Vosne-Romanée where the Grivot family has been working first-class terroirs for more than 200 years. Mathilde, the third generation, took over in 2017 and is dedicated to carrying the legacy by bringing new approaches that improve the expression of the terroir.
Domaine Jean Grivot Echezeaux Grand Cru comes from a Grand Cru with calcareous clay soils in the heart of Burgundy. These are old vines cultivated using only organic methods, but without certification. When the grapes reach optimum ripeness, they are manually harvested.
In the winery, the Domaine Jean Grivot Echezeaux Grand Cru grapes are crushed to begin a spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged for 18 months in French oak barrels before being bottled.
Domaine Jean Grivot Echezeaux Grand Cru is an elegant and incredibly delicate Pinot Noir. An explosion of pure fruit.
