About Fasoli Gino Pieve Vecchia

With a label that is a true statement of intent—a goose dressed in a suit symbolising the perfect blend of nature and elegance—Fasoli Gino embodies the efforts of a family winery that, over four generations, has transformed winemaking tradition into a contemporary experience. Their profound respect for the land and the environment has enabled them to establish themselves as a benchmark in the wine world, crafting authentic whites, reds, and sparkling wines that capture the essence of the Venetian terroir, all without compromising on quality or tradition.

One of their most renowned offerings, Fasoli Gino Pieve Vecchia, is a white wine included in the IGT Veronese (Veneto) designation, made from the indigenous grape variety garganega. Vines planted in sandy and clay soils and cultivated according to organic principles to preserve the grape's fullest expression. Once the grapes are hand-harvested in three different sessions, they ferment in stainless steel tanks with native yeasts. Subsequently, the wine is transferred to oak barrels to rest on its lees for about 12-15 months. Finally, the wine is bottled and not released to the market until 6 months later.

Fasoli Gino Pieve Vecchia 2020 is a white wine of vibrant gold hue that captivates with its bouquet of sweet spices, toasted barley, and ripe white fruits such as pear and apple. On the palate, it is rounded and enveloping, with a smooth and velvety texture. Its fruity acidity imparts a lively freshness, while the long finish reveals toasted, smoky nuances and almond notes, leaving a compelling and pleasant aftertaste.
