Since then, the vineyards clinging to the volcano's slopes have given rise to a wine whose name honours that legend: Lacryma Christi, the tear of Christ. Feudi di San Gregorio, established in 1986 in the heart of Irpinia (Campania, Italy), has played a pivotal role in the revival of Southern Italian wine.
