About Finca Antigua Cabernet Sauvignon

Finca Antigua Cabernet Sauvignon is a red wine produced by Finca Antigua in the D.O. La Mancha.

The winery was founded in 2003 by the wine group Familia Martínez Bujanda, located in the town of Los Hinojosos between the provinces of Cuenca and Toledo.

Finca Antigua Cabernet Sauvignon belongs to the range of single-variety vines that the winery produces. In this case, as you can imagine, this is a single-variety from the grape Cabernet Sauvignon.
 The grape originates from 115ha of vineyards, which have been named "las Mateas" located at 865 meters above sea level, the soil are clay, limestone and sand.
The harvest is completed during the last week of September.

For production, the must is fermented in stainless steel containers at a controlled temperature, afterwards, the must is macerated for 12 days.

Lastly, after all the processes, Finca Antigua Cabernet Sauvignon is aged for 9 months in American oak barrels.

2011 Fresh and tasty attack. The mid-palate is agile, unctuous and fleshly. Good acidity. Persistent finish.

Beautiful cherry with purple reflections.

Intense and complex, notes of ripe black fruit combined harmoniously with fresh herbs and spices. Lightly toasted.
2009 A fresh and tasty red wine. A bulky wine with a good and very balanced mid palate. It has a good acidity and noticeable but pleasant tannins. Long and persistent finish.

Dark cherry colour with bluish nuances. Clean and bright.

Intense and fresh aromas. The aromas of spices and pepper stand out along with some roasted notes and grassy aromas. Once it opens up, its very expressive notes of red and black fruit appear along with fine toasted aromas which stay in the background.
2007 Soft, light, fresh and tasty wine with good bulky, very balanced mid palate. Good acidity and noticeable but pleasant tannins. Long and persistent finish.

Intense cherry colour with blueish edges. Clean and bright wine with abundant tears.

Intense and fresh aromas typical of the Cabernet Sauvignon. On first nosing, before swirling the glass, spices, pepper, notes of mocha and herbal aromas are noticed. When it opens up, very expressive notes of fruit are felt along with good toasted aromas which stay in the background.
2005 Very robust structure and development of volume in horizontal and vertical sense. Grape tannin gives  great freshness and corpulence. Wood in the background but with a long and lasting aftertaste.

Clean and bright with high-intensity. Color and iridescent blue pillory. The tear is abundant and colorful.

Very varietal nose with spicy and balsamic memories of the variety but with the seal of the Finca Antigua, denoting the freshness we get through the elevation of the property.
