About Finca Azaya Premium

Bodegas Valduero is renowned for its relentless pursuit of excellence through artisanal creations where meticulous care of the grape and respect for the vineyard enable the production of long-aged wines of extraordinary quality.

This is how Finca Azaya Premium is born, a red wine crafted from the tempranillo variety through the meticulous selection of individual clusters, harvested manually, originating from an estate located in the Toro region, where vines over forty years old thrive.

Following selection, the grapes undergo a cold pre-fermentation maceration. Fermentation is conducted with indigenous yeasts that impart the distinctive character and personality of the Toro region to the wine. Once fermentation is complete, the maceration of the skins is extended, submerged in the wine to extract exceptional colour, aromas, and tannic potential. The wine is aged for 22 months in oak barrels from two different origins. Once bottled, the wine rests for 24 months in the winery, during which time it refines, consolidating its potential and elegance.

Finca Azaya Premium is an ode to patience. A limited production red wine, intense in colour and aroma, which, although not part of the D.O. Toro, possesses all the potential and elegance of the finest representatives of the region.
