Valduero Una Cepa 2020 is a red wine that unfolds its complexity with serene elegance. About Valduero Una Cepa

Valduero Una Cepa is a barrel-aged red wine crafted by the winery Valduero in the D.O. Ribera del Duero using the indigenous variety tinto fino.
 
Valduero is among the pioneering wineries established within the Regulatory Council of the D.O. Ribera del Duero. Its founder, Gregorio García Álvarez, has been producing long-aged wines with significant potential in the Burgos village of Gumiel de Mercado since 1984. It is a comprehensive family venture currently managed by his two daughters, Yolanda and Carolina.
 
Valduero Una Cepa originates from a vineyard situated at 842 metres above sea level. These are old vines, over 50 years old, planted in clay-limestone soils, with such limited production that each vine yields just a single bottle. Hence the name Una Cepa. The harvest is conducted manually in 14 kg boxes.
 
Valduero Una Cepa is vinified at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. Subsequently, the wine is aged in American and French oak barrels for 18 months. Finally, once bottled, it rests for 12 months in the cellar before being released to the market.
 
Valduero Una Cepa is an intensely terroir-driven wine of which very few bottles are produced. A mature and elegant red with a remarkable ageing potential.

Valduero Una Cepa 2019 is a red wine of character, mature and full-bodied. On the nose, it reveals aromas of black fruits such as blackberries and plums, complemented by hints of vanilla and sweet spices, a result of its barrel ageing. On the palate, it is complex and well-structured, with smooth tannins and a lingering finish that leaves a pleasant sensation. Perfect for those seeking a wine with personality and depth.

2016 Valduero Una Cepa 2016 is a mature red wine boasting an exceptional aromatic intensity of ripe fruit, toasted undertones, and hints of sweet spices. On the palate, it is intricate, full-bodied, and harmoniously balanced. This fruity and highly expressive wine displays a robust structure and a flawless integration of alcohol and acidity. The finish is prolonged and refined.
2009 On the palate this wine is structured and balanced. The alcohol and acidity are excellently integrated and the aftertaste is different to the classic Valduero one. A great red wine from the Ribera del Duero

A picota red wine colour, very high robe.

Complex and extraordinarily intense aromas. After swirling the glass aromas of fruit and wood intermix and ripe red fruit, leather, toasted notes and vanilla begin to appear.
2007 A wine that will seduce us from the first plunge. It is nice and tasty at the attack and has a gentle but intense mid palate and a velvety texture. Its aromas are perfectly balanced and its acidity is excellent. A wine with elegant and polished tannins, a good structure and a nice long finish which leaves creamy balsamic sensations.

Intense cherry red colour, almost opaque with a very high robe. Clean and very bright wine with elegant slow-falling tears.

The notes of spices, flowers and the subtle hints of liquorice, animal leather, chocolate and cream are perfectly integrated and form a very balanced and seductive set. Light balsamic background.

2004 Upon the palate, this wine exhibits a well-structured and harmonious balance, with the integration of alcohol and acidity being outstanding, culminating in an aftertaste that distinctly sets it apart from the traditional Valduero range.

It presents as a deep cherry-red wine with an exceptionally dense hue.

A complexity of aromas and extraordinary intensity unfurl. As the wine is swirled in the glass, the scents of fruit and wood coalesce, giving rise to evocative notes of ripe red berries, leather, toasted nuances, and vanilla.
