Valduero Dos Maderas Crianza 2021 is an oenological gem that dazzles with its intense and vivid garnet hue. About Valduero Dos Maderas

Valduero Dos Maderas is a red wine from the D.O. Ribera del Duero produced by Bodegas Valduero, a family-run winery situated in Gumiel del Mercado, 16 km from Aranda del Duero (Burgos).

Bodegas Valduero is renowned for crafting single-varietal wines from Tinto Fino (Tempranillo), a grape variety of which they own 200 hectares, and which they believe is the best suited for high-profile wines from Ribera del Duero.

The Tinto Fino grapes for Valduero Dos Maderas are sourced from 30-year-old vineyards, located at an altitude of 829 metres. The vineyards are planted on very poor and dry soils, with a clay-limestone character.

For its production, the grapes are harvested by hand and immediately transported to the winery in 14kg boxes.
Once at the winery, fermentation takes place over 9 days at a temperature between 23°C and 28°C, followed by a maceration period of approximately 10 days. Before being released to the market, Valduero Dos Maderas is aged in two different types of oak barrels for 15 months and then in the bottle for an additional 12 months.

2017 Valduero Crianza Dos Maderas 2017 is an eloquent red wine, suffused with scents of crimson and obsidian fruits, interlaced with balsamic undertones and an exotic mélange of spices. Upon tasting, it presents itself as genial, effervescent, and impeccably constructed. This wine is characterized by its velvety tannins, seamlessly integrated acidity, and a prolonged denouement.
2015 Valduero Crianza 2015 is a structured and amiable red wine. Excellent vintage that shows ripe red fruit on the nose on an elegant toasted background. In the mouth, it is intense at first, with an light mid-palate and a fairly long finish.
2011 Very well structured, medium bodied, with vigour. Very good acidity. Tasty and toasted notes. Long finish.

Fruit, balsamic and vanilla aromas. Notes of black fruit (plum), coffee, snuff. Minty background with notes of cumin and nutmeg.
2010 A very well structured wine, pleasant and powerful in the mouth. It ends with a relevant aftertaste. More than a usual ageing.

2007 Wide wine, with intense flavours dominated by aromas of wood. Rich tannins and balanced acidity. Velvety and fleshy texture and a long and persistent finish. Ribera del Duero elegant and seductive wine.

Intense cherry maroon colour with purple edges. Bright and thin tear.

At first nosing, its marked aromas provided during the ageing in oak are felt. The notes of smoke, snuff, spices and balsamic appear over the aromas of black fruits.
2006 A well-structured wine. Amable and nerve in the mouth, fleshy, with good tannins and lingering finish.
