About Gran Tábula

Gran Tábula is a red wine made from the Tempranillo variety that Bodegas Tábula produces in the D.O. Ribera de Duero.

Located in the town of Olivares del Duero (Valladolid), Bodegas y Viñedos Tábula was founded in 2002 by a group of businessmen from Castilla y León. Headed by José Luis Muñoz, they defend the respect for the fruit and the search for the essence of the terroir; modern quality that are currently present on four continents.

The grapes for Tempranillo de Gran Tábula come from 60-year-old vineyards planted in loamy-calcareous soil. The harvest is manual, in boxes of 15 kg, and transported in a refrigerated truck.

In the cellar, the bunches for Grand Tábula pass over the selection table, are destemmed, and the berries are selected. They macerate at a controlled temperature and are fermented in French wooden vats. However, the malolactic fermentation is carried out in oak barrels. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for between 16 and 18 months, and 6 months in a wooden vat.

Gran Tábula is a wine that reflects the quality of Ribera de Duero in its modern style.
2013 Gran Tábula 2013 is a concentrated red wine with the aroma of ripe red fruits, toasting and balsamic. In the mouth it is powerful and intense with a long aftertaste.
