About Tábula

Tábula is a red iwne produced by Bodegas Tábula within the D.O. Ribera del Duero. It is a varietal wine made of Tempranillo grapes from old vines aged of more than 30 years, grown on clay calcareous soils.
The grapes are manually harvested in small 15-kilo plastic boxes, which avoid the risk of broken grapes while they are transported into the winery. This transportation is made in a thermo-regulated vehicle to keep grapes at the best conditions.
Once in the winery, grapes go through a selection table where the best bunches are selected and stalked before the selection of the best grains.
The grapes go through a pre-fermentative maceration for four days. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in French wood containers and the malolactic fermentaion, in the same French oak barrels where the ageing will follow for the next 16 months.
