About López Cristóbal Parcela Uno

López Cristobal Reserva is a red wine made by the López Cristobal winery in D.O. Ribera del Duero. It is a blend of Merlot and Tinta del País. 

All of the grapes used come from the same estate: Finca Valera. The vineyard is 35 years old and grows on clay limestone soil, at around 840 metres above sea level. The grapes are harvested by hand, with the utmost care to avoid damaging them, and transported to the winery in fruit boxes with the same objective. Once in the winery, the berries pass over a selection table and only those that are found in the best condition are used.

The grape for López Cristobal Reserva is fermented at 30ºC before being aged. Ageing lasts 16 months and is carried out in French and American oak barrels aged between one and three years old. López Cristobal Reserva rests in the bottle for another two years before being released to the market.
2018

López Cristóbal Parcela Uno 2018 is a delightful red wine. The bouquet reveals an array of dark fruits. On the palate, it is expansive and fleshy. Well-balanced with agreeable yet robust tannins. It is exceptionally flavourful with a hint of spicy nuances. The finish is enduring.
