About Mirianius

Celler Credo is the organic and biodynamic wine project of the Recaredo family for the Penedès Designation of Origin.

In recent years, Celler Credo has established itself as one of the leading wineries in Penedès specializing only in autochthonous varieties and a firm commitment to the implementation of programmes aimed at preserving the ecosystem. Its range of varietal wines from xarel lo, as well as the collection of biodiversity wines (Ratpenat-Macabeo, Volaina-Parellada and Mirabelles-Malvasía de Sitges) have earned the admiration of critics both national and international, with consolidation in demanding markets such as Japan, Canada, the United States and the Nordic countries. 

Miranius is a lively, vibrant wine that ages well in the bottle. It is made 100% from the Mediterranean variety xarel·lo and has strong varietal character with crisp acidity and a good palate.

Miranius is intended to express the richness and singularity of the landscapes of the Penedès region (Barcelona). That’s why it’s made using grapes harvested from a selection of xarel·lo vineyards distributed in three main areas of the territory: Plana del Penedès, Muntanyes de l’Ordal (vineyards at an elevation of 400 metres) and Vall del Bitlles. All Celler Credo grapes are harvested by hand to ensure a precise selection of the fruit and to guarantee its excellent quality.

Furthermore, Celler Credo takes great care over grape ripening with the aim of producing wines with natural, fresh acidity. The must fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks on own yeasts from Celler Credo’s vineyards, an essential element for producing truly terroir wines. This wine may contain natural sediments due to a minimal intervention. Miranius is produced and bottled on the property.

2023

Miranius 2023 is a cheerful and vibrant white wine, with a freshness that invites one to savour the moment. On the nose, it reveals white flowers, citrus, and a delicate hint of fennel that makes it unmistakable. On the palate, its lively acidity and slightly chalky texture provide a light yet full-bodied passage, brimming with energy and character. Each sip evokes the purity of the xarel·lo variety and Mediterranean elegance, making it ideal for accompanying appetisers, delicate fish dishes, or simply for uncomplicated toasting. Its accessible and profound character makes it a perfect ally for those seeking a versatile and charming white.
2022

Miranius 2022 unveils itself as a youthful and effervescent white wine, perfectly suited for those in pursuit of crispness and a light touch in their glass. Upon nosing, a bouquet of apple and pear aromas unfurls, interwoven with hints of citrus reminiscent of lemon and lime. On the palate, its dry nature and zesty acidity beckon sip after sip, delivering an invigorating and unadulterated sensation. This wine stands as an impeccable choice for any occasion, distinguished by its clear-cut and straightforward profile.
2020

Miranius 2020 is a white wine sculpted with fragrant aromas of white fruit, hints of citrus, and accents of wildflowers. On the palate, it is fruit-forward, flavorsome, and exuberant. A wine graced with astonishing acidity, crisp and effortlessly enjoyable. The finish is polished, offering subtle sweet sensations.
2018 Miranius 2018 is a profiled white wine with intense aromas of white fruits and a herbaceous background with subtle mineral touches. On the palate it is fresh, light and balanced. A wine with a fruity mid-palate with brilliant acidity and a long and lasting finish.
2013 Crisp, delicate, and well-balanced, with a silky and fruity palate. Exemplary acidity. The finish is extensive and enduring.
