About Son Prim Merlot

Son Prim Merlot is a red wine produced by the winery Son Prim in Sencelles, V.T. Mallorca. 
 

Son Prim is a small family-run winery that started its activity in 2003, with the aim of creating wines with the maximum possible quality from its vines planted in the nineties. The 8-hectare farm has several types of soil, where red clay with gravel and boulders are predominant.
 

Son Prim Merlot is a wine made from Merlot. They are manually harvested and placed in boxes. Grapes are selected in the vineyard and in the winery. Maceration for 21 days and fermented in stainless steel deposits. Aged for 12 months in French, American and Hungarian oak barrels. Malolactic fermentation in stainless steel deposits. A minimum of 6 months in the bottle.

2015 Son Prim Merlot 2015 is a full and round wine, with a varietal character. On the nose, the aromas of ripe red fruit with smoked notes of its ageing stand out. In the mouth, it is ample and meaty. A vintage with a great ageing potential.
