About Vitícola Mentridana Canto Platero

Between the Sierra de Gredos and the city of Toledo lies the DO Méntrida. Here, amidst sandy and calcareous soils, Dani Landi (Comando G) and Curro Bareño (Fedellos) cultivate 16 hectares of vineyards. It is here that Vitícola Mentridana Canto Platero is born. 
 
Harvested from a section of one of the vineyards in the village of El Real de San Vicente, Vitícola Mentridana Canto Platero is a fragrant and elegant red wine you absolutely must not miss. Specifically, Vitícola Mentridana Canto Platero flourishes on a north-facing plot at an altitude of 720 metres, overlooking the Tiétar Valley. This particular area, planted approximately 70 years ago on silty, sandy soils with quartz pebbles, matures later, ensuring a freshness that is retained once the wine is produced. 
 
Vitícola Mentridana Canto Platero is harvested and transported to the winery where it is processed and placed in stainless steel tanks with whole clusters. Here, it ferments with indigenous yeasts and is kept for several months, achieving a very gentle and flavoursome extraction. Don't miss it!
