About Yllera Verdejo Vendimia Nocturna

Yllera Verdejo Vendimia Nocturna is a Rueda wine produced by Bodegas Grupo Yllera. The winery is situated in the town of Rueda (Valladolid).

As the name suggests, Yllera Verdejo Vendimia Noctura is made using only Verdejo grapes. The grapes come from vineyards that are between 10-40 years old located on the La Capitana estate. The harvest of the grapes is carried out using machine and overnight, in order to avoid oxidation due to the high temperatures of the region.

As for its production, the grapes are destemmed and crushed followed by cold maceration of the must with the skins. After this, the must is lightly pressed in a pneumatic press before being fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 17ºC. Finally, before being bottled, the wine is clarified and undergoes a cold treatment.
