03/07/2018 Production area

Cava is one of the most versatile wines that we can find. Traditionally linked to celebrations, it has been with us for many years, accompanying any meal throughout the day.
We find young and fresh cavas, cavas with more body and structure, with long ageing, made with native varieties and international varieties… In short, we have cavas to satisfy all kinds of palates, from those who need a pairing for a special moment and want the cava to improve the experience, to the most distinguished diners who seek exquisiteness and refinement in every course.
Here is our Top 10 of cavas, selected by their excellent quality, always in line with their price.

Descregut Brut Nature Reserva: an excellent cava made with classic varieties by this small family winery located in the heart of the Penedés. An amiable cava, with fine bubbles and very dry, ideal to drink on its own or with any type of meal.

Guilera Brut Rosat Reserva: the Guilera family brings us this delicious rosé cava made with Red Grenache and Pinot Noir, with the right ageing to show all its character with elegance and freshness. It is the ideal companion for the aperitif.

Rimarts Brut Nature Reserva: in a small winery of Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, the cradle of cava, the brothers Martínez, Ricard and Ernest, produce this gem that perfectly shows all the virtues of cava at a smashing price.

Mas Candí Indomable: Toni Carbó and Ramón Jané delight us with this organic cava made with native varieties that have been cultivated in the area for centuries. We are talking about the Xarello and the Sumoll which, with a long ageing of over 5 years, result in a creamy and elegant cava that does not hide it surprising freshness.

Torelló Brut Special Edition: with this fun presentation, Torelló dresses up a limited edition of its Brut Reserva. A cava that is precise and honest, worthy of representing the perfect definition of cava.

Maria Rigol Ordi Gran Reserva Brut Nature: a long ageing cava that perfectly combines with the varietal aromas of the ageing notes, managing to express its character in a balances way. Keep an eye on this young winery that everyone is talking about.

Tantum Ergo Brut Nature: from Requena (Valencia) we have this fabulous cava made with international varieties, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, vinified like a blanc de noirs. Elegant and refined to the purest French style and, of course, with no added sugar.

Juvé y Camps Milesimé: the historic Juvé y Camps winery has been making this 100% Chardonnay for a few years. It has earned them prizes and recognitions from the very first vintages. A structured cava, with a lot of expression of the variety, which shows the good adjustment of Chardonnay to this area.

Gramona III Lustros Gran Reserva Brut Nature: We have chosen this cava for its quality and trajectory. Over 50 years on the market, collecting countless awards and recognitions from experts and professionals in the sector. A cava from a single farm, with a long ageing of 72 months, more than double the time required for a Gran Reserva. A must in any winery.

Recaredo Turó d’en Mota: a Xarello single-variety from a single farm. The variety is cultivated in a sustainable and integrated way, expressing the terroir, the landscape and the Mediterranean climate in a simple and elegant way, without hiding any nuances. The tradition and the ‘savoir faire’ of the Mata family reaches the peak with this cava that, year after year, surprises us and allows us to affirm that we are in front of one of the best sparkling wines in the world.

You no longer have an excuse to not enjoy a magnificent cava during these hot summer days.
