About Enate Syrah-Shiraz

Born on the banks of the Rhône, it journeyed to Australia (where it acclimatised perfectly) and now arrives at the DO Somontano, in the northeast of Spain, where the syrah variety has found its home among the valleys of Cregenzán and Alcanetos. It is here that Enate Syrah-Shiraz emerges, a red wine that effortlessly piques interest and demands attention.
 
The sun, wind, and limestone soils shape the character of this single-varietal, crafted by the Enate winery, which presents itself as elegant, intense, and with a distinctive character. In the vineyard, all tasks are carried out with utmost respect for the environment, employing manual harvesting and artisanal practices. The same philosophy is upheld in the winery, where Enate Syrah-Shiraz ferments in small stainless steel tanks and rests in new European and American oak barrels, where it also undergoes malolactic fermentation. Here it will remain for approximately 15 months, until the time of bottling, where it will continue to mature in the bottle.
 
The result is a voluptuous and elegant red, true to the philosophy of Enate: blending the ancient with the contemporary. Do not miss it!

Enate Syrah-Shiraz 2018 unveils a profusion of intense red fruit aromas, interwoven with scents of olives and blue florals. Upon tasting, it reveals a significant concentration, delivering flavors reminiscent of forest fruits, coupled with a ripeness that is gratifying yet not overpowering, underpinned by hints of vanilla and dairy. Its texture is velvety, with seamlessly integrated tannins that usher in a harmonious and exceptionally lingering finish.
 
2017

Enate Syrah-Shiraz 2017 is an elegant red wine. On the nose there are red fruits, blue flowers and olives over a background of lactic and vanilla notes. On the palate it has volume, with noble and velvety tannins. Very persistent finish.
2016

Enate Syrah-Shiraz 2016 is a concentrated, complex and persistent wine. Its aromas of ripe black fruit and floral, violet notes, fused with the roasted taste from the aging process make it unique.
2007 Elegant and very tasty red wine with a wide and powerful attack. It coats the mouth with notes of fleshy ripe black fruit nuanced by some creamy touches and hints of liquorice. Long, silky, full bodied and well balanced mid palate. A wine with a good acidity and well integrated tannins. Long finish with a great persistence.

Intense red cherry colour with maroon reflections. Clean and bright wine with a high robe and dense tears that stain the glass.

Good aromatic intensity. Its intense notes of ripe black fruit, are released along with some intense floral notes, lots of cocoa and a suttle touch of liquor with milky notes and mixed with good toasted aromas on a backgroud of creamy spices. Intense balsamic aromas are also felt in the background.

Voluptuous palate with velvety tannins and nobles. Very persistent.
