Enate Cabernet-Cabernet 2022 boasts an alluring cherry hue with a garnet rim, hinting at its intensity. About Enate Cabernet-Cabernet

Enate Cabernet-Cabernet is a red wine produced by the winery Enate in Salas Altas (Huesca) DO.Somontano.

Enate is a winery established in 1991 that has swiftly become a benchmark in the Spanish wine scene. Defining itself as a winery of our time, where passion for tradition coexists with the modern techniques required today, Enate offers an extensive range of wines, from the typical crianza and reserva to single-varietal reds and whites.

The winery's vineyard, comprising around 500 hectares, is spread across the municipalities of Salas Altas, Salas Bajas, Cregenzán, and Basbastro. Situated at approximately 600 metres altitude on infertile limestone soils. The climate in this region is continental, with very cold winters and hot summers.

From the outset, Enate decided to "pair" wine with art, so much so that in 1992, it began a contemporary art collection with national and international artists. Since then, each wine label features a work by a renowned artist created "ex profeso" for the winery.

Enate Cabernet-Cabernet is a wine crafted from the finest Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from Enate's own estates, Salas Bajas and Alcanetos.

The harvest is done manually using boxes, and once it arrives at the winery, it ferments in stainless steel tanks with temperature control at 24°C, extending the maceration for three weeks. After this period, the wine is racked and filled into new French oak barrels where it undergoes malolactic fermentation and ages for over a year. Before bottling, it is stabilised in stainless steel tanks.

Enate Cabernet-Cabernet is an intense, long, and enveloping wine. The selection of the finest Cabernets results in this serious and elegant wine. Undoubtedly, one of the finest wines from Somontano made with this variety.

Enate Cabernet-Cabernet 2017 is a red wine that unveils a profoundly expressive bouquet, where black fruits take centre stage, accompanied by a liqueur-like nuance. On the nose, one detects balsamic and spicy notes characteristic of cabernet, balanced by subtle toasted and cocoa undertones from the barrel. On the palate, it is a full-bodied wine, with ripe, silky tannins that suggest excellent ageing potential. Its finish is long and enveloping, blending the seriousness of its Atlantic character with a Mediterranean touch, making this Somontano a gem of elegance and complexity.
2016 Enate Cabernet-Cabernet 2016 is a red wine with aromas of black fruits on the nose, accompanied by liquorice, balsamic, spicy notes and toasted and cocoa nuances provided by its barrel aging. The palate is meaty, with ripe, silky tannins and a long, enveloping finish. A red wine with a very good bottle aging potential.
