One of the most renowned municipalities in the DOCa. Rioja is La Bastida. Little introduction is needed for this quintessential wine-producing village, home to some of the finest reds, such as Grandes Lindes de Remelluri Viñedos en Labastida; however, Grandes Lindes de Remelluri Viñedos en Labastida is something far more special. It transcends mere expert craftsmanship.

The enchantment of Grandes Lindes de Remelluri Viñedos en Labastida, crafted from garnacha, tempranillo, graciano, and blanco, originates from the vision of Telmo Rodríguez, its creator, as part of a project aimed at the restoration of old vineyards in the DOCa. Rioja. Historically, this area was divided into small plots and vineyards, managed by viticulturists who, despite their hard work and effort, barely achieved economic viability or profitability. However, this does not imply that the quality of the grapes and clusters was lacking. It is precisely at this juncture that Telmo Rodríguez with Grandes Lindes comes into play, once again collaborating closely with those farmers who still endure. In the case of Grandes Lindes de Remelluri Viñedos en Labastida, the wine emerges from the Las Torcas area, in a vineyard of 1.16 hectares on the Ebro's fluvial terraces, situated between 440 and 710 metres above sea level. The soils are stony, with fine textures that increase with altitude.

Grandes Lindes de Remelluri Viñedos en Labastida is harvested manually at the end of September, in boxes, and naturally ferments using indigenous yeasts. The production process concludes with the year that Grandes Lindes de Remelluri Viñedos en Labastida spends maturing in barrels and foudres of various sizes, until it is bottled.
