Are you in or are you out? That is the question posed by Judith Beck Out, a wine that is a contradiction in itself... and we love it for that reason. Sometimes, one must break away from the script to discover the true taste of authenticity.
This wine, conceived to be "outside" the traditional denomination system of Burgenland, is, in truth, a rebel with a cause. Fresh, lively, unpretentious, and full of character, Judith Beck Out embodies that unexpected spark that breaks the rules without asking for permission. However, no matter how "out" it may be labeled, at its core, this wine is tremendously "in" when it comes to style, freshness, and originality.
Judith Beck knows her craft. Trained in Bordeaux, Piedmont, and even Chile, she has wine running through her veins and a clear philosophy: wines should tell stories, awaken the senses, and accompany the simple pleasures of life. Since 2004, she has been managing the family estate with her unique perspective, focusing on the natural, the artisanal, and the authentic.
The creation process of Judith Beck Out does not follow conventional formulas; it is almost a choreography between steel, wood, and amphorae, designed to highlight the fruit, the freshness, and that vibrant character that defines this wine. It all begins with a manual harvest, carefully selecting the healthiest and most expressive clusters. From there, the blaufränkisch and zweigelt grapes are divided into three parts, each with a different treatment, intended to add complexity and energy. Fifty percent is destemmed and ferments in stainless steel tanks for 14 days. Forty percent undergoes partial carbonic maceration in wooden barrels. Lastly, the remaining 10% goes through a complete carbonic maceration. Once the fermentations are complete, the wine is blended and left to rest for 15 months in used barrels and amphorae, where it gains balance, depth, and harmony without losing its spontaneous character. Finally, it is bottled unfiltered and without added sulfites, preserving all the vitality and honesty of the grape.
The result is Judith Beck Out, a wine that breathes freedom and naturalness, ideal for those seeking authenticity without artifices. An invitation to step out of the mould and toast to the pleasure of the unexpected.
